Binghamton City School District

Binghamton City School District is committed to maintaining the security and privacy of student, teacher, and principal data protected by state and federal education law.

These include NYS Education Law 2-d ( "Ed Law 2d") and Part 121 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, COPPA, CIPA, PPRA, and FERPA.

The District has enrolled in the Data Security & Privacy Coordination Service provided by the South Central RIC to fulfill the requirements of Education Law 2-d and its implementing regulations, as well as to align the District's data security and privacy practices of the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (Version 1.1).

The software applications listed in the inventory below are compliant with NYS Education Law 2-d, and are able to be used within the District.

Use the search function in the inventory to find an application or service. If that application is listed in the inventory, the District has secured an Ed Law 2-d agreement and that tool may be used within the District.
